Head of Advanced Therapies and Hematological Diseases

Caroline Pothet is head of advanced therapies and haematological diseases within the Human medicines Division at the European medicines Agency overseeing the team coordinating the evaluation of marketing authorisation and lifecyle applications in haemeto-oncology together with the CAT and CHMP; Caroline joined EMA in September 2020 as a Senior Regulatory Specialist, providing regulatory, scientific and procedural advice to EMA staff, Scientific Committees (including the Committee on Advanced Therapies) and external stakeholders in relation to oncology, haematology medicinal products and Advanced Therapies. Before joining the Agency, Caroline worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry holding various positions in regulatory and global drug development between 1998 and 2020, mostly in Oncology and immuno-inflammation. Caroline has a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Master in Drug Development and International Regulatory Affairs.
